Early Treatment

The American Association of Orthodontics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend that an initial orthodontic evaluation be completed at age 7. In some patients, when baby teeth are still present between the ages of 6 and 10, we can start to correct significant development problems, such as severe crowding, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and oral habits with jaw expansion using a palatal expander.
Any oral habit can permanently affect a child’s teeth and bite. Many patients will not need orthodontic treatment at this age, but close monitoring can identify the ideal time to start treatment, and correcting habits may be needed. If finger sucking, prolonged pacifier use, or any other oral habit is present, our doctors can prescribe a painless appliance to assist your efforts in stopping oral habits.
Early orthodontic treatment during this crucial time of growth can sometimes prevent the need for more extensive treatment and tooth extraction later in life. Phase I braces can assist in correcting developing orthodontic problems in young children. Braces at this age can provide room for erupting teeth, cosmetic alignment, crossbite correction, and overbite and underbite correction.

Braces

Clarity Ceramic Braces are perfect for patients of any age looking for a more discreet way to straighten teeth. It gives you the confidence you need to smile confidently during and after treatment. The brackets, paired with a tooth-colored wire, are designed to blend with your teeth and resist staining and discoloration throughout your treatment.
The Legend twin bracket is a low-profile metal bracket system that comes in medium and mini sizes. They are relatively smaller, more comfortable, and more efficient than traditional metal braces. These brackets are manufactured with the highest level of precision to help achieve a more efficient correction of tooth alignment.
Brava is a biomechanical lingual braces system that uses AI and modern technology. With Brava’s Independent Mover technology, the movement of any tooth has little to no effect on any other tooth, making treatment more efficient and faster. It is also an aesthetic way to achieve a beautiful smile because the metal components are attached to the back side of the teeth.
Lingual braces are a type of orthodontic treatment in which the brackets and wires are placed on the backside of the teeth, making them virtually invisible from the front. Unlike traditional braces, which are placed on the front of the teeth, lingual braces are custom-made to fit the unique shape of each patient's teeth. Lingual braces can be an effective option for individuals who want to straighten their teeth but are self-conscious about the appearance of traditional braces.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are a great option if the idea of metal or ceramic braces on your teeth would hold you back from achieving the smile you’ve always wanted. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. A series of removable, clear trays are worn to move teeth gradually and gently to their ideal positions. Eat whatever you want! Since you take the aligners out for meals, there are no food restrictions to worry about.

With our in-house laboratory, we can fabricate clear aligners tailored to fit your custom needs and get you started with your orthodontic journey right away!

Adult Orthodontics

Adult orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that focuses on the correction of misaligned teeth and jaws in adult patients. While traditionally, orthodontic treatment was seen as something only for children and teenagers, advances in technology and orthodontic techniques have made it easier and more discreet for adults to undergo treatment.

Adult orthodontics can help address a range of issues, including crooked teeth, overbites, underbites, and gaps between teeth. In addition to improving the appearance of the smile, orthodontic treatment can also improve oral health and function by making it easier to clean the teeth and reducing the risk of issues such as gum disease and tooth decay.

Technology

No more gagging and uncomfortable mouth impressions with our digital scanners. Our 3M True Definition Scanner accurately and efficiently scans your teeth to make a 3D model of your mouth.
Our 3D diagnostic x-ray provides a three-dimensional view of the teeth, surrounding bone, and root orientation. This technology eliminates guesswork and allows us to provide safer and more efficient care.
We use state-of-the-art lasers to improve the health of gingival tissue to help straighten teeth faster. With this modern technology, no injection is needed, and there is typically no bleeding or pain.
Temporary Anchorage Devices are biocompatible titanium mini implants placed into the bone to move teeth in the desired direction without undesirable side effects on other teeth or needing jaw surgery.
This state-of-the-art device is designed to provide orthodontists with a clear and precise view of the patient's teeth and surrounding oral structures. With its advanced optics, the Grin Scope allows orthodontists to diagnose and treat orthodontic problems with greater accuracy and efficiency, leading to better outcomes for patients.

Surgical Orthodontics

Surgical orthodontics, also called corrective jaw surgery, is the treatment of choice to correct severe malocclusions correlated to improper position of the upper and lower jaws. With our state-of-the-art technology, we are able to safely perform surgical orthodontics to help patients achieve a more functional, balanced bite that will make their smiles last a lifetime.

Our orthodontists will determine if you need corrective jaw surgery, but symptoms include chronic jaw pains, open bite, protruded lower jaw, difficulty swallowing, and an unbalanced facial appearance from the front or side. To see if surgery is for you, schedule your complimentary consultation with one of our orthodontists by calling our office.
